Certificate in Homecare Management

The Homecare Management course is designed to provide the trainee with knowledge, skills and attitude to perform various tasks in a home environment. The vocational trade area will include Food and Beverage Production, Service and Nutrition, Housekeeping, Laundry Work, Child Growth, Development and Rights, Care for Persons with Special Needs and the Elderly, Labour Law and Industrial Relations.

To enable the graduates of this course to work either in salaried or self-employment situations, concepts of Entrepreneurship, Life Skills and Communication Skills have been included in this course.

To create a firm foundation for further training, optional general education subjects (Mathematics and Science) have been included to give this course a wider scope.

Entry

  • A Minimum KCSE Grade of D or the equivalent
  • Exam Body: KNEC
