Industrial Attachment

Our internship liaison office mainly deals with assessing students and finding them suitable attachments at partnering companies according to their relevant skills and interests. As a result of BTTI’s high-quality and practical training, it receives commendable feedback from the senior management teams of these organizations.

As a policy, all students are expected to go on an attachment. In this regard, we have an attachment database where we list all the companies. When the time comes for students to apply for an internship, we simply match the student’s skills to the relevant industry and contact the companies concerned. The placement is normally   for a period of 3 months or more depending on whether the company would like to retain them. Most of our students are eventually absorbed into the companies they intern for. We have had cases where they are eventually re-called and then absorbed.

As part of the assessment, a daily journal is issued to track student progress, planned goal achievement and identified career growth areas.

Internships generally give the students a sense of achievement, it also grows their self-confidence. This eventually transforms them mentally, socially and economically. The students start taking life more seriously as they are able to sustain their needs and support their families.

BTTI would like to express its appreciation to all the companies, government bodies, and organizations who have given our students an opportunity to intern with them. This has enabled them to learn invaluable skills and market expertise that will contribute to their career advancements and business acumen. We are incredibly grateful to all these partners who have invested in our students; we remain forever indebted.

Before proceeding on these attachments, We ensure that:

  • 90% of the work that trainees will do during their attachment is practical.
  • Workshops are equipped with similar resources and tools likely to be found in organizations across the industry, in terms of emerging trends and technology.
  • Trainees are advised on areas of specialization.
  • The training and skills learnt are relevant for the needs of the market.
  • Trainees cover the syllabus before they report for attachment in the organizations.

We do it for good. Because all people deserve protection from the indignity of poverty, injustices & disease.
